Each of Gary Armer's original oil paintings are unique, one of a kind creations, rendered in immaculate detail with the painterly brush strokes of an old master. Each work of art is painted painstakingly from still life using the real objects as the still life model. Gary's work explores the fine line between passion and obsession, enchantment and preoccupation, touching on themes of nostalgia and sentimentality, as well as mass production, and commoditization. This piece, Life Finds a Way, from the series Organized Chaos, depicts a carefully laid out assortment of toy dinosaurs, arranged in a colossal swarm, allowing the viewer to explore and untangle the overlapping and intertwining shapes and colors. This painting was selected as the winner of the British Art Prize in 2022.
