ABOUT THOMAS VANDYKE GALLERY’S ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAM
Thomas VanDyke Gallery is fortunate to provide a dedicated studio for our Residency Program as well as onsite living accoodations. Within this space Resident Artists have the opportunity to produce a body of work in a supportive atmosphere for creative growth and development. The intention of the residency is to offer artists uninterrupted time and a private environment to explore and realize their creativity. This residency has proven to be an ideal opportunity for experimentation and collaboration. Artists can add to their work practice, explore new mediums, create new editions of ongoing projects, or otherwise advance their skills. Works created during the residency will be exhibited at the gallery following the session.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
One of the key objectives of the TVG residency programs is fostering engagement with the local community through a meaningful exchange of ideas and techniques. Participating artists will have opportunities to exhibit their work at TVG, learn about gallery operations, and connect with other artists in the Sunset Park community and greater New York area. TVG collaborates with the artists to schedule and promote additional programming and to coordinate participation in events, lectures, openings, open studios, museum visits, and other opportunities.
